During September we will introduce the awesome participants of the Climate-KIC Accelerator programme who made it to Stage 2 (read more about the accelerator here: http://www.arengufond.ee/en/startup-estonia/overview/cleantech/).
Next in line is Organic Filters. This team consists of Raul Treier, Kristjan Järvan, Jaanus Liigand, Madis Kaasik and Kalle Olli who want to show us that mother nature has her own way of providing us with the essential elements such as clean air. Not a fan of algae when going swimming? Maybe it’s time to change your perspective: 1 ton of microalgae can consume approx. 2 tons of CO2. Pretty sweet, right? Having in their team the grand old man (not that old, though) of algae research – Kalle Olli – Organic Filters wants to create microalgae air filters, which are organic, renew themselves and could be saviors of polluted cities in Asia. As the production of this filter is relatively cheap, Organic Filter is also affordable to people with tighter budgets. One filter for us too, please!
